Service Description

This is a Minnesota Permit to Carry a Pistol class. Given the need to continue social distancing, we are offering an ONLINE class! OUR CLASS consists of 2 parts: 1) Classroom learning and instruction will be taught online, using a LIVE Zoom link on SATURDAY, May 14th, 2022 from 9:00 am to approximately 5:00 pm. Our online class is an 8-hour course (with breaks built-in). 2) In-person live shooting will be held the NEXT day, SUNDAY, May 15th at The Modern Sportsman shooting range. Specific details regarding the shooting range will be sent to you via email. This class is designed for students acquiring their initial MN Permit to Carry or current PTC holders who need to renew! This class will cover all necessary curriculum required by the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) to apply for your MN Permit to Carry (CCW). ​ You will learn the MN laws regarding Use of Force vs. Use of Deadly Force, learn everyday Situational Awareness strategies, discuss legal vs. moral issues surrounding use of handguns for personal protection. You will ALSO learn the Laws of Self-Defense. The 5 Elements of Self-Defense Law are critical to know and understand in the event you must fire your weapon in self-defense. Upon completion of the shooting range portion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion which is a requirement to apply for your Permit to Carry at your local Sheriff Department office. (We recommend calling your County Sheriff's office to ask if an appointment is needed to apply for your Permit to Carry.) ​ You are encouraged to bring your own personal firearm (if you currently own and train with one) although the price of the class DOES INCLUDE the cost of handgun rental and ammunition. ​ Mind Sight Firearms welcomes FIRST TIME shooters, as well as students of all ability levels! Cancellation Policy

Refunds will not be given after class booking has been completed. Students will have the ability to reschedule their class, if needed, at no additional charge.
